Vespers

Hoover Dam 2013 011

Vespers

The cool damp fog
descends upon the hills
The twilight stillness
demands silent reverence.

The full moon rises
as the sun departs.
Daytime sleeps
as the night awakens.

Soft voices whisper
songs of devotional praise
to the Spirit
that is the Creator.

The service closes
with gentle praying.
Peace descends upon
the people.
